Meet Mia
Author, Mindfulness, SEL and Therapeutic Art Facilitator and Certified Grief & Loss Practitioner
Hi there, I'm Mia. I'm lots of things, but above all I'm a momma to three beautiful children. I never realized there was a theme to my parenting when my first child was born 13 years ago, I was an artist, so therefore I led with my heart open in a very artful way. In fact, 10 years ago my fellow artist and momma friend, Katie and I, decided we'd open a playgroup called ARTFUL that was filled with lots of music and art projects we'd secretly plan for ourselves. As my children grew, I've watch them blossom into emotionally aware and very connected little beings. I have since realized the need for a program for littles that their care givers can communally join them in singing and dancing together, being able to create together, explore and adventure together, move and breathe together, and read and word play together. Essentially, I aim to create a gentle space that can teach them foundational skills for deep resilience and worldly understanding, that can carry them through their development into pre-adolescent and teenage years.
Hence, I've created Feather & Fern a 'Mommy & Me' program for 1-3 year olds, set in a beautiful backdrop of nature - we will learn to discover all things wonderous about our world and ourselves.
I look forward to sharing the journey with you all!
